Blog Hop: 5/8-5/11 Mother's Day Blog Hop

Happy Mother's Day! Welcome tot he Mother's Day Blog Hop organized by Memories with Jen. Thank you so much Jen for allowing me to join along.  If you are coming from Linda's, you are in the right place.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  In honor of special women in my life that are also great mother's here are some projects that I made. It is a little album created from cut envelopes.

I had made this album in a Stampin' Up! class and it was so fun that I thought I would make some and give away for presents.  Since I did not have the die that they used in the class, I bought the envelopes from letteringdelights.com. They are Envelope C.  I used MTC to cut Envelope #6 at 3.8819 x 4.8742. I cut 6 white ones and 6 teal ones.

I used my Martha Stewart score board to mark the top and side of the white envelopes and just the sides of the teal ones.
I stamped the white paper on all of one side and then on the back of the flap on the other since it will be folded over.  I used my glue to adhere the flaps on both the white stamped paper and the teal ones and put them together. I also added a line of glue at the base.

Here are a few of the tools that I used for this project.

After they were all glued together, I stacked them and punched two holes at the end with my Crop-o-dile. I created the little white paper that slips into each page using my Nestabilities Dies Labels #4.    Even though I love cutting with my personal die-cutter, I do like using my dies still.  These in particular are fun because that each size nests in the one larger.

Here is how it looks with the inside page pulled out. They can add a picture or a saying in there.  It would be a cute place just to write down a memory that they want to save. I decorated the end of the paper slip just a little so you can see the design as the paper peaks out.

Each page was decorated differently. I held the whole thing together with this fun SU! Ribbon that I just cannot get enough of!

I later made a few more because they were so easy to throw together! Instead of using white paper, I used Stampin' Ups Designer Paper Series. Love this paper because it is double sided, each sheet coordinates and it coordinates perfectly with their stamps and paperstock. It is so easy to work with.  I changed up the colors as well and I think it makes it seem downright elegant in these colors.

I am in love with these little albums! I hope the recipients love them.  So that is my project! If you are new to my blog, please become a follower. I also posted a Mother's Day card here earlier this week.

Now for some blog candy, please leave a comment and become a follower.  When the hope is over, I will pick a winner using random.org and the winner will receive a package of Stampin' Ups Basic Rhinestones. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these things. I used them in the flowers above. They are too much fun.
