This page is for Throwback Thursday on Creative Time For Me here. You could use any older Cricut Cartridge as long as the project had a heart on it. As soon as I read that, I knew that I was ready to tackle these awesome pictures I had taken of my daughter and her first close friend from Kindergarten, a sweet little boy named Billy. The teacher told me that they had gotten close but I did not realize how much they were holding hands during the day. Of course I had to get pictures of this sweet relationship. I was so glad to see that my daughter had made a friend that helped with the Kindergarten transition!
I used the Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge for the heart frame in the center of the page. I tried searching heart on my gypsy and it crashed twice so I used cricutsearch.com instead! Worked much faster.
I havee to say that I will NEVER attempt that ruffle again with the paper and width that I tried it at. I recently bought the Martha Stewart score board. I scored the big strip every 1/4 of an inch and then cut it into strips. I think I made the strips too thin because they were hard to attach to the back of the heart. I also think the paper I tried was too thick. Maybe vellum would be better?

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it. I am going to try and NOT use ruffles on my next couple of layouts. :)
